The Pro Tac Gold models can be ordered to operate using the Lithium 123 battery. The Lithium 123 battery is commonly found in the supply room in most Law Enforcement and Military units. Two Lithium 123 batteries replace the four N style batteries used in other Pro Ears models. Operating time is the same for either Lithium or N Style batteries.

All Pro-Ears electronic hearing protection use common "N size" 1/2 volt batteries. Use of any other size battery will void the warranty. To obtain a natural sound quality and power the DLSC™ technology, more power is required than many other electronic ear muffs. The Gold Series active hearing protectors have an auto shut-off feature which will help conserve battery power but you should still remember to turn PRO EARS off when not in use. Carry a spare set of batteries just in case. Our price is very competitive so buy a spare set or two of batteries now, keep them with your gear and rest assured you will have power when you need it most.
